For their 2021 charity single, world-renowned acappella group Out of The Blue recorded their take on Silk Sonic’s hit track ‘Leave the Door Open’, commissioning Calum and his team to shoot the video.

Calum directed visuals which are smooth, seductive, and gently tongue-in-cheek - a match for the retro tone of the song and the playful personality of the group.

The video takes an ambitious mixed-media approach, blending 16mm, super 8, and conventional digital capture - with some segments shot on 35mm photographic film with a Lomokino analogue movie maker. The result is a textured and unique video full to the brim with rose petals, vinyl records, and smooth retro style.
